Dr. Kat Ballou has been teaching Drama in Greenville County for over 20 years. In 2000 Kathryn completed her Ph.D. in Curriculum and Instruction at Clemson University, where she also received a Masters in Counseling. While at Clemson, Kathryn joined Chi Sigma Iota, Kappa Delta Pi and Teacher's Who's Who in America.  Working with Clemson the Greenville County Schools Dr. Kat created a program called Drama-for-Life where students use theater as  a rehearsal for life. Kathryn comes to Greenville from New York City where she was the artistic director of the Neighborhood Group Theatre Ltd. Kathryn studied acting with Sanford Meisner, and in another life appeared in a variety of films, commercials and stage productions. Dr. Kat lives on a farm in Pickens with her husband of of over 30 years.  When not at the theatre Kathryn enjoys horseback riding and playing with her many dogs and cats.
