In May, FAC strings students premiered Edigitudes, Jon Grier’s 2004-2005 Surdna Fellowship project. The work is scored for string quartet and synthesized sounds recorded on CD. In performance, the quartet plays along with an onstage stereo; in the second movement, the 2nd violinist also plays a large rain stick. This combination of live and electronic sounds was a first for FAC performers.
